Club Target Races
Attending races with familiar faces is always more fun, and after a great turn out at certain races in 2024, we have picked 4 target races for 2025.
First up is the Glasgow Uni Aquathlon on Sunday 2nd March at Scotstoun Leisure Centre. With both sprint and novice races, this pool based event is a great way to kick off the 2025 race season.
Next up is the Bute Triathlon on Sunday 18th May which has become a bit of an annual tradition for many of our members. Another pool based event with both sprint and novice distances, it is a well organised event with a very laidback feel.
The first of two open water races involves a trip down to England for the Deva Triathlon on Sunday 1st June in Chester. It is a well tested event by club members and offers a variety of distances. Standard distance triathlon, standard distance aquabike and the relatively new T100 triathlon distance, which is 2km swim, 80km bike and 18km run.
Finally, the Knockburn Triathlon on Sunday 31st August in Aberdeenshire is a standard distance triathlon which serves at the Triathlon Scotland national championships, as well as being a GB age group team qualifier for the 2026 World Triathlon Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. For those who have always aimed for a GB age group representation, this is a fantastic opportunity as the standard and depth of field will likely be a good bit lower than the usual qualifiers in England.
Entries for the first 3 events are already open and are found on the links below.
